Team Rubicon Reaches 200,000 Veteran Volunteer Milestone

Relief Directory StaffSeptember 15, 2025 at 10:00 AM

Team Rubicon has reached a landmark milestone, registering its 200,000th veteran volunteer since the organization's founding in 2010. The achievement underscores the growing role of military veterans in civilian disaster response.

From Military Service to Disaster Service

Team Rubicon's model is built on the idea that the skills veterans develop during military service — leadership, adaptability, working under pressure — translate directly to disaster response operations. The organization provides veterans with a renewed sense of purpose while delivering critical aid to communities in crisis.

2025 Operations

This year alone, Team Rubicon has deployed volunteers to more than 30 disaster operations across the United States, including wildfire response in the Southern Plains, tornado recovery in the Midwest, and flood relief in Texas.

Looking Ahead

The organization plans to expand its international operations and invest in training programs that prepare volunteers for the increasing frequency and intensity of climate-related disasters.
