No new disasters were added to Disaster Relief Organizations this week, and none changed status. Several of the largest emergencies we track remain active, and the figures below are the most recent ones recorded in our directory, with their "as of" dates.

Ongoing Emergencies

Sudan. The Sudan humanitarian crisis remains the world's largest displacement crisis in our directory, with an estimated 30 million people affected. Our records cite estimates of 150,000 to over 400,000 deaths as of late 2025, famine declared in 12 areas, and severe access restrictions for aid workers. Responders listed include Direct Relief, International Medical Corps, Mercy Corps, Save the Children, and CARE. More background is on our Sudan country page.

Democratic Republic of the Congo. The DRC Ebola outbreak, caused by the Bundibugyo strain, had 635 confirmed cases and 127 confirmed deaths in the DRC as of June 9, 2026, with additional cases in Uganda. WHO has declared it a public health emergency of international concern. Contact tracing, ring vaccination, and isolation units are the focus of the response, with International Medical Corps, Direct Relief, and the Red Cross among the listed responders. See the DRC country page. Current case counts may be higher than our last recorded figures; consult WHO for the latest.

Conflict-driven crises. The Gaza-Israeli humanitarian crisis (Palestine), the Lebanon war (Lebanon, 1.2 million displaced), and the Russia-Ukraine war (Ukraine, 17.6 million affected) all remain active, with aid groups continuing to deliver medical supplies, shelter, and food.

How to Help

Aid groups working in prolonged crises rely on steady, flexible funding. To give, start with the Sudan or DRC Ebola pages, which link directly to each responder's donation page, or browse the full organization directory to find a group that matches your priorities.
